Womens Community Choir

I am planning to create a Women’s Community Choir early in 2011.

This will provide a next step for women attending my singing groups for beginner singers. Community Choirs are very popular here in New Zealand and many new groups are being formed.

My intention is to provide a playful relaxed environment where attendees can learn a rich variety of world folk songs, with opportunities from time to time for members who wish to share our songs with the community.

Contact me to find out more or check this website early next year for specific details.

Singing Groups Update

At the moment I’m currently running three singing groups at a range of venues.

Kapiti Women’s Health Centre, Paraparaumu – Thursday nights this term.

This is a group for beginner singers. Fun, empowering and featuring a rich range of world music. I will be offering another singing group through Kapiti Women’s Health Centre next year.

If you would like a one off singing workshop for your workplace or, for the residents at a retirement village where you work or live or, would like to find out more about what I am offering in 2011 please contact me.

Singing Group Starting Late February 2010

Singing For Fun

When: Tuesdays 23/2 – 30/3 2010 ( six sessions )
Where: Parklands Hall, Sylvan Ave, Waikanae
Times: 9.45am – 11.45am

This course is for people who view themselves as non-singers and who would love to sing. We will learn basic vocal technique and sing a rich variety of world folk songs.

The aim of this course is to build vocal confidence, and to have fun along the way. It is founded on the belief that we can all sing. The course will provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment, in which participants can explore their voices and learn to sing.
